WINDOWS ME - WAS IT EVEN WORSE THAN VISTA?
Microsoft Windows has been the most used and by far the most popular computer operating system of all time, but that doesn't necessarily mean that each and every product they have ever launched was brilliant, it was actually quite far from it.
Directly after the successful Microsoft Windows 98 release, Microsoft released an operating system called Windows Me, with the "Me" that stood for Millennium Edition as it became available on September the 14th of the year 2000.
The most common complaints around Windows Me was its limitations of functionality and severe bugs as it was designed to be a consumer version of Windows 2000, which was the business version. But Microsoft's biggest mistake was that they built Windows Me on the outdated backbone of the Windows 9X codebase, where Windows 2000 was built on the far newer Windows NT codebase which in return made it more modern and functional.
For those of you who complain about Windows Vista being problematic, are clearly not old enough to remember the terrors of Windows Me!
