VIDEO: FURLEXA: A COMBO OF A FURBY AND AN AMAZON ECHO

A mad scientist decided to combine a Furby and Amazon's Alexa, which ended up working out impressively well. YouTuber, Howchoo, uploaded a video hosted by Zach from howchoo.com, explaining how the Furby and Alexa idea came about.

"I thought I'd make Furby a little less annoying and give him an upgrade with a real brain," wrote Zach, and he renamed the Furby-Frankenstein-creation, Furlexa.
Zach went into great detail about how he modified this frightening furball. He had to combine a Rasberry Pi Zero W with the original Furby CPU. By combining Amazon Echo's voice software with the Furby motor, every time Alexa speaks the toy moves as well.

Furlexa is capable of doing anything that Amazon's Alexa could do, like turning on lights, giving weather updates and play music.

Furlexa is definitely not coming to a store near to you but, if you want your very own furball-voice-assistant, there is a very detailed instruction available to look over if you want to get all mad scientist with Furby too.
