VIDEO: THE NEW GOD OF WAR IS SET TO LAUNCH IN EARLY 2018!

From Santa Monica Studio and creative director, Cory Barlong comes a new beginning for one of gaming's most recognisable icons. Sony showcased all-new gameplay footage for the upcoming God of War, which is bringing back protagonist and antihero Kratos and the franchise's signature brutal hack-and-slash combat to a new Norse mythology setting. 

Living as a man outside of the gods, Kratos must adapt to unfamiliar lands, unexpected threats and a second chance at being a father. Together with his son Arteus, the pair will venture into the brutal Norse wilds and fights to fulfil a deeply personal quest. The new trailer ended with Kratos and Arteus meeting a giant sea serpent. Despite Kratos's new softer demeanour, he might continue to serve as an antihero who is working against the protectors of the known universe as he did in the original trilogy.
