When you think about it, the 2000s were not that long ago, but in the tech world, the difference that 2 decades has on digital technology is night and day.

The early 2000s was a time of innovation and creativity. Each time you picked out a new phone it was revolutionary in comparison to your previous one, the screens moved from black and white to colour, your ringtones moved to polyphonic, your keypad became slidable and don't get us started on the features your phone came with as standard!

Even the entire concept of connecting your phone to the internet without the use of a physical cable was like something out of science fiction! And keep in mind that all these innovations took place over just a couple of years, so it was no doubt that the predictions of phones 2 decades later would be something out of this world!

But in reality, how it happened was somewhat different...
