DEADMAU5'S HOME STUDIO: HE'S THE BIGGEST MUSIC GEEK!

When you merge one of the world's top electronic music artists with a total geek, you get Deadmau5, and his home studio is proof!

Joel Thomas Zimmerman, professionally known as Deadmau5, is a Canadian music producer in genres such as electronic, techno, progressive house, electro house, dubstep and ambient.

In such a competitive industry, what sets Deadmau5 apart is not necessarily his style or genre tastes, but rather his method on how he creates his music, which is more analogue than you might think.

YouTuber by the channel name, Linus Tech Tips, got the opportunity to spend the day at Deadmau5's private home, which is also home to his music production studio!

Deadmau5's studio has the reputation of being the only Dolby Atmos studio at this scale outside of Dolby themselves. Furthermore, Deadmau5's studio is also home to a variety of analogue amplifiers, keyboards and synthesisers from the 1970s that even the original equipment manufacturers are unable to reproduce, even if they wanted to. And, more surprisingly, Deadmau5 uses these tools in his modern music today! One of which is the original mixer that created the sound for R2D2 in Starwars.
